Los Angeles-based Matchbox Kitchen is a sustainable baking company that uses all natural ingredients. In addition to creating delicious cakes, they are committed to building an eco-friendly business. Our goal was to create a logo that felt classic and not frivolous, to showcase the quality of baker Sara Tso’s cakes, cookies, and confections. 

With a letterpress printed gingham pattern, the sleeve of the Matchbox Kitchen cookie box creates a polished presentation for Sara’s handcrafted treats. The custom matchbox offers a token of gratitude that can be used immediately: lighting candles on a Matchbox Kitchen birthday cake.
