Em Space is a book arts center in Portland, Oregon where a group of letterpress printers and book artists share printing and binding equipment. The studio provides access to rare letterpress and book arts equipment and tools, fostering collaborative art endeavors while preserving traditional craft methods.

Inspired by the em space — a typographic unit of measurement used in letterpress printing — this collaboration resulted in print collateral that is clean and simple. The Em Space logo is reminiscent of the shape of metal type, including the iconic crescent indentation that signals the orientation of each letter.
